We went to the IAAPA tradeshow in Orlando hoping to win at least one of the big awards for our SlideWheel. In the end we were lucky enough to be presented with 3 of the most important prizes on offer at the IAAPA. At the WWA show in Las Vegas we already had fortune on our side as we received the WWA Leading Edge Award for our SlideWheel. On the first day of the IAAPA tradeshow we got the surprising news that we were also to receive the IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Mayor Ride Attraction. The Team was ecstatic and full of pride and joy.

When we found out that we would also get the IAAPA IMPACT Award, we were caught completely unaware. This award is only given to one company in the industry every year. Namely the company whose product that has or will have the greatest impact on the industry. It is referred to by insiders as “The Mother of all awards”.

But that is not everything. The probably biggest award in the industry, the THEA Award for outstanding achievement has also been granted to wiegand.waterrides. This award is exceptional and any team that wins this award even once in their career has done an outstanding job. It is the Oscar among the awards. It involves a 2 year process during which it is necessary to compete and be measured against attractions from all industries.

To be recognized and appreciated with these awards makes us all very proud.

We are proud and honored that our teamwork, our entrepreneurial courage, our perseverance and our innovative strength have been recognized in this extraordinary form. Obviously, many different judges around the world believe that our SlideWheel represents a major step in a new direction for attractions in the Waterpark industry. We want to thank everyone who shares this opinion and look forward to the next big steps ahead.
