Proper Sliding
In order to slide properly, it is crucial to observe the signs at the start of the slide. These signs define the correct sitting position and hand posture. Steeper slides often have stricter specifications than flatter slides in order to ensure safety and enjoyment when sliding.
The fastest slide position depends on the type of slide. When you use Body Slides without aids, the three-point method is recommended: crossing the legs so that only one heel touches the ground, tensing the body and lifting the buttocks in the air while pressing the shoulders down to keep in contact with three points. When you use Raft Slides on the other hand, the influence is possible due to a shift in weight. However, water slides equipped with tires are much less susceptible to influence and have a more uniform sliding behavior.
A higher weight can lead to a better acceleration due to the force of gravity, especially if the person is proficient in the three-point method. When you use Raft Slides more weight within the safety specifications can lead to higher speed levels.
The capacity depends on the type of slide. While broad Family Slides can accommodate multiple people at the same time, fast high-speed slides are designed for individual users. In this context, various security aspects play an essential role.
We offer various sliding aids, such as sliding tires (for seated sliding) and sliding mats (for prone sliding). The use of sliding aids is only permitted on specially designed slides.
Our slide tires are available in different sizes:
1-slide tire: approx. 122 cm outer diameter
2-slide tires: approx. 122 x 193 cm outside diameter
3-slide tires: approx. 148 x 157 cm outside diameter
4-seater slide tires: approx. 193 x 193 cm outer dimensions
Family Raft - small: approx. 165 cm outside diameter (for 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children)
Family Raft - large: approx. 198 cm outside diameter (for 4 adults or 3 adults + 3 children)
Our slide mats measure approx. 135 cm x 55 cm.
The permitted sliding positions vary depending on the slide and are clearly indicated at the respective facility.
In general, the following positions are possible: lying on your back (alone or with a child between your legs), sitting (alone or with a child between your legs), lying on your stomach with a slide mat or the use of single or multi-person slide tires (e.g. for one or two people, or family tires).
The specific instructions on each water slide must be observed!
To prevent too many people from sliding at the same time, access control devices such as sensor traffic lights or turnstiles are mandatory or optional on some waterslides. For slides without these systems, access is controlled by the operating staff of the respective company to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
