Fort Lucan Adventureland in Dublin is expanding its lineup of attractions with a new experience: The Aqua Shuttle, a spectacular competitive attraction featuring two parallel tracks, is now open to visitors.
For decades, Fort Lucan Adventureland has been one of the most popular family destinations in the region. With this new attraction, the amusement park gains another highlight among its water attractions.
A special feature of the Aqua Shuttle is the tilting roller launch, which propels riders rapidly down the slide. On the two parallel tracks, participants compete directly against one another and experience an exciting race. On the track, which has a steep incline of up to 45°, speeds of up to 50 km/h are reached before the sleds glide over a film of water into the exit section.
The stainless-steel facility features a vertical drop of approximately 12 meters. In addition to the two parallel tracks, a striking launch tower was also constructed as a defining element of the facility.
To ensure comfortable and efficient operation, the sleds are automatically transported back to the start after each ride. The conveyor belt system used for this purpose was supplied by our partner Chairkit and ensures reliable return of the sleds.
With this new attraction, Fort Lucan Adventureland offers its guests a thrilling ride experience that combines speed, competition, and water fun.
