After around ten weeks of intensive renovation and modernization, the Atlantis Dorsten leisure and adventure pool celebrated its reopening in March 2026. As part of the refurbishment, large parts of the facility were renovated and modernized to offer guests a contemporary swimming and leisure experience in the future.
A key part of the renovation was the construction of two new waterslides. With a Body Bowl and an RR900, Atlantis Dorsten has gained two new attractions that specifically expand the existing offer and provide additional fun.
The Body Bowl, which is operated in the pool under the name "Tropenwirbel", offers a dynamic slide experience with a lively start, high speed and several intense turns in the funnel before the ride leads back into the tube. The offer is complemented by the RR900, which at Atlantis Dorsten is called the "Coral Swirl" . Its compact design and narrow lines ensure continuous acceleration and an intense ride experience.
Both waterslides were newly built as part of the modernization and integrated directly into the existing indoor pool. The project thus contributes to the targeted upgrading of the adventure area and strengthens the attractiveness of Atlantis Dorsten as a modern leisure pool in North Rhine-Westphalia.
